In 1991, when my wife and I were looking for a home, we were in search of the ultimate New England style farmhouse. Unable to find something that worked for us, we decided to design and build our own home. We wanted to blend the traditional design and details of an old farmhouse with the functionality of a more open interior and the amenities of a new home, accomodating our lifestyle. Our ideas and designs became the Innisfree house (shown in house designs and plans on our website.) People liked our home. Gordon Dixon Construction was founded and we have been building traditional New England style farmhouses ever since. They have been satisfying our customers and complementing the natural Vermont landscapes they are built on.
